We’re less than a week away from our regular Wednesday evening activities resuming! While we enjoyed Wednesday suppers and Family Fellowship Devotions in June and July, we took a few weeks off on Wednesday nights at the beginning of August. Our free weekly meal and age-graded activities, though, resume on August 22nd.

Do you ever find yourself struggling with discouragement, exhaustion and/or stress in the midst of a busy week? Or, do you simply find yourself struggling spiritually, regardless of how your week is going? Joining Richland for our Wednesday evening activities is a great way to get encouraged, challenged, sharpened and equipped to continue your daily journey in the faith.

And, if you are already doing well, Wednesday evenings are a great time to be a blessing and encouragement others who might be struggling. Please make plans to join us.

Here’s the basic rundown:

5:45 – 6:15 p.m. – Evening Meal
–Our Wednesday evening meal is a great time of fellowship and encouragement. Everyone is invited to join us for great food and fun together.

6:15 – 7:30 p.m. – TeamKID & Youth Group
–TeamKID (separate groups for nursery, preschool/kindergarten, and elementary (1st – 5th grade)) has a great time each week with games, missions and Bible study. Also, 412 Group (students in grades 6-12) meets for games, fellowship and Bible study.

6:30 – 7:30 p.m. – Adults’ Prayer and Bible Study
–Our weekly adults’ gathering focuses on praying for needs both inside and outside our church family, followed by a group Bible study. On Wednesday, we will be resuming Ask the Pastor.

As always, you are also invited to join us on Sunday mornings for Family Groups (9:30) and worship (10:40).

If you have any questions, want more information or want to learn more about serving in one of our Wednesday evening ministries, please contact us.

What a blast during our Vacation Bible School family celebration and lunch yesterday! Here are some videos from the program and “pie the pastor and missions leader”…

Join us for VBS!

16 Jul 2018

Nightly from 5-8 p.m., VBS will take place Sunday, July 22nd through Thursday, July 26. We hope your kids will join us and that you will consider volunteering.

Supper (for all interested kids and volunteers) will be served each evening (Sunday through Thursday) at 5:00, with the VBS program beginning at 5:30. We will be done right at 8:00 each night, and we’ll finish off the week with a big VBS family celebration (10:40 a.m.), followed by lunch, games and activities on Sunday, July 29.

VBS is for children who recently completed preschool through sixth grade, with nursery only being provided for the children of our volunteers.

We want to invite your kids to grab their megaphones, lace up their cleats, and tune up their instruments. As they fill up the offensive line, sideline, and drumline, your players, cheerleaders, and band members will realize God has given them His ultimate playbook. He wants them to join His team, train hard, celebrate salvation, and encourage one another. Let’s get in the spirit with Game On! VBS.

For more information, please contact us. As always, you are invited to join us every Sunday for Family Groups (9:30 a.m.) and worship (10:40 a.m.). Hope to see you Sunday!

Tomorrow, Pastor Nick will resume his Sunday morning sermon series through the Gospel of Mark. Discipleship 101: Meet. Mature. Multiply. will take us through this gospel in 2018, with various breaks along the way. Emphasizing the power and authority of the Son of God, Mark is a powerful book that teaches us how to follow Jesus and be His disciples.

Here is the planned schedule of messages for the next couple months:

June 10  – “The Peace of Discipleship” (Mark 4:35-41)

June 17 – “The Source of Discipleship” (Mark 5)

June 24 – “The Calling of Discipleship” (Mark 6:1-29)

July 8  – “The Provision of Discipleship” (Mark 6:30-56)

July 15 – “The Heart of Discipleship” (Mark 7:1-23)

July 22 – “The Faith of Discipleship” (Mark 7:24-37)

July 29  – “The Teaching of Discipleship” (Mark 8:1-26)

If you have any questions about Richland or want more information, please contact us. As always, we would love to have you join us on Sunday mornings for Family Groups (9:30 a.m.) and worship (10:40 a.m.).

Wednesday Evenings This Summer

25 May 2018
0

While the official Wednesday night gatherings for TeamKID and 412 Group are done for the summer, our suppers (5:45 – 6:30) and activities (6:30 – 7:30) continue throughout the summer. In fact, we are starting something new, beginning this Wednesday, May 30th. After supper, we will be having “Family Fellowship Devotions,” an informal time of fellowship and Bible study for the purpose of modeling daily devotions in the home. Everyone of all ages (singles, couples, families, etc.) is invited to join us!

Although there will be no childcare provided on Wednesday evenings during the summer months, we still encourage families with children to join us, as our Family Fellowship Devotions will be very informal and will be intentionally geared toward everyone, including children. We want to grow together as a family, and we believe this will be a great way to do that.

So, join us for supper at 5:45, followed by an informal time of fellowship (when the kids will be welcome to play games, play at the playground, etc.)* until 7:00, at which time we will have a short Bible study and group discussion time. For those interested and without children, prayer meeting will be from 6:30 – 7:00, at which time you can join the rest for Bible study.

If you have any questions, please contact us. Hope to see you Wednesday!

*NOTE: Parents and guardians will be responsible for the supervision of their children during the entirety of our Wednesday evening activities.
