Testimony of Forgiveness and Unity

27 Feb 2018
0

On Sunday morning during our worship gathering, Elaine Shindler shared a powerful testimony of forgiveness and unity in the body of Christ. Since it was shared during one of our regular Sundays for communing together at the Lord’s table, Elaine’s story was particularly applicable. You can watch and/or listen below.

You can also listen to the audio of the testimony, which is a little easier to hear, by clicking HERE.

On Sunday, our church family and guests had the privilege of watching Ryan and Amber Clevenger’s video testimonies, followed by their public professions of faith and obedience through believer’s baptism. Praise the Lord! You can watch both videos below, as well as in the free MyRichland app.

Get Connected & Stay Involved

12 Feb 2018

Our passion is the gospel. Our church is our family. Our world is our mission. That is our purpose statement as Richland Baptist Church, and we believe strongly that all three of those areas – gospel, family and mission – are essential for every follower of Jesus Christ. In fact, all people are called to believe and embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, which then naturally leads to them being actively involved with a church family and living their daily lives on mission for the sake of the kingdom of God.

Have you believed the good news of the gospel? Are you actively involved with your church family? Are you living out your faith and boldly encouraging others to turn to the Lord? Please let us walk alongside you in this journey, and seek to use the gifts God has given you to build up others in the body of Christ.

Pastor Nick has challenged us to consider the reality that for Christians to grow and mature as God intends, they need to (1) spend daily time in the Word and in prayer, (2) be involved with a church so that they are both being fed and serving others every week, and (3) be involved with some sort of weekly discipleship accountability relationship. When these commitments are prioritized, then we see disciples making disciples who make disciples. If you’d like to know how you can get more involved and grow in your commitment to the Lord, please contact us.

Below is our weekly schedule, and when you are on the go and out of town, please keep up with Richland using the free MyRichland app.

Sundays:

9:30 a.m. – Family Groups
–Family groups are Bible study fellowships for all ages – children, youth and adults. Nursery is included for infants and toddlers, too. We consider family groups to be an essential ministry for discipleship and relationships.

10:40 a.m. – Morning Worship Service
–Morning worship is an essential time of growing in God’s Word together. It’s that time of the week when most of our church family is all together for the purpose of worshiping our Lord and building up His body. Currently, Pastor Nick is preaching through Mark in a series entitled Discipleship 101. For those who are interested, we also provide nursery (toddlers and infants) and children’s ministry (kindergarten and below) during our morning worship services.

6:00 p.m. – Life on Mission
–Life on Mission is our Sunday evening worship service with discussion on how we can apply what we’re learning on Sundays to our daily lives and understand how to better live our lives on mission for God.

Wednesdays:

5:45 p.m. – Evening Meal
–Our Wednesday evening meal is FREE and is a great time of fellowship and encouragement. Everyone is invited to join us for great food and fun together.

6:30 p.m. – Prayer and Bible Study / TeamKID / Youth Group
–With ministries for all ages (both children and adults), Wednesday evenings provide a great recharge for the middle of the week.

A couple weeks ago, we had our annual New Life Celebration. This is an event we do each year to celebrate the salvation of those who came to faith in the past year, and pray for more response to the gospel in the coming year.

Katie Bloss shared her testimony and was baptized by her husband, Nate, during our morning worship service. Then, during our evening service, Jake Ellis and Nehemiah Bertram shared their testimonies. Check out each of these below.

Katie Bloss

You can also just listen to the audio of Katie’s testimony by clicking HERE.

Jake Ellis

You can also just listen to the audio of Jake’s testimony by clicking HERE.

Nehemiah Bertram

Finally, check out Nehemiah Bertram’s testimony discussion with Pastor Nick by clicking HERE. Unfortunately, we didn’t get Nehemiah’s testimony on video, but you can watch his baptism and testimony from last year by visiting our church’s YouTube Channel.

Discipleship 101 – Sunday Mornings

08 Jan 2018
0

This coming Sunday, January 14th, Pastor Nick will begin a new Sunday morning sermon series through the Gospel of Mark. Discipleship 101: Meet. Mature. Multiply. will take us through this gospel in 2018, with various breaks along the way. Emphasizing the power and authority of the Son of God, Mark is a powerful book that teaches us how to follow Jesus and be His disciples.

If you have any questions about Richland or want more information, please contact us. As always, we would love to have you join us on Sunday mornings for Family Groups (9:30 a.m.) and worship (10:40 a.m.).

Sunday, January 7, 2018 – Unfortunately, due to the freezing rain that just started and the likely slick road conditions in the coming hours, our morning services have been canceled. We hope to still have evening worship (6:00), so we’ll keep you posted on that via Facebook.

New Year’s Challenge

26 Dec 2017
0

Psalm 119:9 says that the way a person can keep his/her way pure is by keeping God’s Word. A person can’t keep what a person doesn’t know, though. For that reason, we would like to challenge you to spend daily time in the Word of God in 2018 (and beyond).

Prioritize time each day to read your Bible, and ask God to speak to you through His Word. If you have questions about something you are reading, write those questions down. We can discuss those in our Family Groups, with the pastor and/or with other church family members. For your convenience, in the last bulletin each month, we place a Bible reading plan that will take you through the entire Bible in one year. Additional plans are available in the church foyer and can also be found for free by clicking HERE.

Please contact us if you have any questions. Let’s grow together in God’s Word!
