Church Work Day

11 Apr 2021
0

This Saturday, April 17 is our second church work day for this spring. There is a lot of work that needs to be done, both inside and outside the church building. Whether you are a heavy lifter, a detailed cleaner, a good painter, a landscaping guru, a carpentry wizard, a helpful organizer, or a wise supervisor, we need your help. We have plenty of work for everyone who is willing to serve.

Beginning at 8 a.m., we will be working all morning but finishing around noon. Even if you can only help for a short time, please plan on joining us. If you have any questions or want more information, please contact us.

Thank you to the amazing church family members who continue to serve Christ by serving others inside and outside our church!

Sunday, April 18 – “The First Quandary: Am I My Brother’s Keeper?” (1 Corinthians 8:1-13)

Sunday, April 25 – “The Second Quandary: Weaker Believer Syndrome” (1 Corinthians 8:8-9; Romans 14:1-4)

Sunday, May 2 – Heart of Missouri Baptist Association Missions Emphasis Message with Preston Thompson

Sunday, May 9 – “The Answer: Love of the Gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:1-18)

Sermon Series on the Power of Repentance

07 Feb 2021
0

On Sunday morning, Lord willing, Pastor Nick will begin a new five-week sermon series on returning to God in worship. When the Hebrew people returned from exile, they had to relearn how to worship God as He expected. Returning to God in worship can be difficult. In this short series of messages, Nick hopes to look at some of the passages from the post-exilic period that show how God led His people back to the worship of the One True God.

Repentance is required for such worship, and praise God for the power of repentance!

Here is the planned schedule of messages…

Sunday, February 14 – “True Worship” (Nehemiah 8:1-8)

Sunday, February 21 – “Desired Worship” (Nehemiah 8:9-18)

Sunday, February 28 – “Repentant Worship” (Nehemiah 9:32-37)

Sunday, March 7 – “Learned Worship” (Psalm 145)

Sunday, March 14 – “Worship Celebration” (Psalm 98)

As always, we hope you will join us on Sunday mornings and evenings, as well as Wednesday evenings. For our full schedule, click HERE. If you have any questions, please let us know.

If you have yet to do so during our Sunday morning worship services, would you consider giving sacrificially to the International Mission Board’s Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. We give so that more missionaries can go, and 100% of gifts given to this offering are used for sending and supporting missionaries serving in some of the most difficult places in the world – places that desperately need the gospel of Jesus Christ.
