On Mission Overseas

02 Nov 2020

This is the time of year we are emphasizing the International Mission Board for our missions giving, prayer, and partnership. Will you pray for the IMB and give sacrificially so that more people can hear and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ?

Please check out the below video for more information on lives that have been given on account of the gospel and what we can do in response…

Day 5: Remembering Lives Given from IMB on Vimeo.

As always, you can give to the IMB through our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering by giving in person on Sunday morning, sending your gift to the church office, or giving securely online. Thank you!

If you have yet to do so, please consider supporting mission work in Missouri by giving sacrificially to the Rheubin L. South Missouri Missions Offering. Learn about one of the ministries you would be supporting by watching the video below.

Taking the gospel to people in their native language is not limited to just spoken words.  To many deaf children, the gospel is presented for the first time in a way they can understand.

As always, you can give in person on Sunday morning, mail your missions gift to our church office, or give online.

Schedule Update for Sunday

17 Oct 2020
0

Because of the high likelihood of rain, plans have changed for Sunday, October 18. We will have a catered meal at NOON (after the morning service), and – if weather permits – we will have some activities, like the hayride. No matter what, though, we will be having the catered meal (no need to bring any food) at noon.

Everyone is invited to join us, so please spread the word…

9:30 = Family Groups (aka Sunday School)
10:40 = Worship Celebration
12:00 pm = Catered Meal
Also, weather permitting, we will have some activities like a hayride.

Questions? Please let us know.

Youth Kickball Highlights

Last Sunday, September 6, the Richland Youth participated in our association’s annual “Nightlight Kickball Tournament.” This event allows youth to invite their friends for some friendly competition and a worship service where God is honored and the gospel is preached.

Below are a few picture highlights from the evening.

James and Tammy (front row) and Parker (black mask) did a great job coaching our two teams, who each finished second in their respective brackets with only one loss each. More importantly, the kids had fun, invited friends, and heard the gospel.

Back-to-School Highlights

Last Sunday, August 30, we had our annual back-to-school worship service and ice cream social. It was a great event, as we worshiped the Lord together through song, prayer, and the preaching of His Word. Then, we enjoyed delicious ice cream sundaes and desserts.

Here are some picture highlights from the event…

Mission: Dignity

Yesterday was Mission: Dignity Sunday, when churches and believers across the nation joined together for an annual one-day giving event to support retired Southern Baptist pastors, workers and their widows in critical financial need through the ministry of Mission: Dignity.

If you were unable to give a gift to this ministry yesterday, would you prayerfully consider doing so online (select the fund “Mission: Dignity” from the drop-down menu) or in person next Sunday?

You can learn more about this great ministry by watching the video below.

Sermon Series through Hebrews

17 Aug 2020
0

On Sunday morning during our worship celebration at 10:40, Lord willing, Pastor Nick will begin a new sermon series – Hebrews: The Journey of Faith. Hebrews has a strong emphasis on the superiority of Jesus Christ throughout the letter, so Nick hopes this series will encourage and challenge you to trust in Jesus for salvation, purpose, meaning, and hope. Jesus is better than all other options, and He is the only One who can make us right with God.

Here is the schedule of messages until the Advent season begins:

August 23 – Hebrews 1:1-14 (“Jesus Is Better than Angels”)

August 30 – Hebrews 2:1-18 (“Jesus Is the Better Brother”)

September 6 – Hebrews 3:1-19 (“Jesus Is the Better Moses”)

September 13 – Hebrews 4:1-13 (“Jesus Offers Better Rest”)

September 20 – Hebrews 4:14-5:10 (“Jesus Offers Better Forgiveness”)

September 27 – Special Message from Preston Thompson

October 4 – Hebrews 5:11-6:12 (“Jesus Is the Better Promise”)

October 11 – Hebrews 6:13-20 (“Jesus Is the Better Way”)

October 18 – Hebrews 7:1-28 (“Jesus Is the Better High Priest”)

October 25 – Hebrews 8:1-13 (“Jesus Provides a Better Covenant”)

November 1 – Special Message from Carson Humphreys

November 8 – Hebrews 9:1-28 (“Jesus Is the Better Substitute”)

November 15 – Hebrews 10:1-18 (“Jesus is the Better Offering”)

November 22 – Hebrews 10:19-39 (“Jesus Gives a Better Life (Now & Eternally)”)

Sunday, November 29 is the first Sunday of Advent, so Nick will do a short Christmas series that will take us through December. He will then resume our series through Hebrews in January 2021.

As always, we hope you will not only join us for our Sunday morning worship celebration at 10:40, but also for Family Groups at 9:30 a.m. and our prayer and praise service at 6 p.m. Richland Youth (grades 6-12) are also meeting on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Wednesday evenings.

Questions? Please let us know.

Staying Connected

Please be sure to stay connected and engaged with our church family via the free MyRichland App and via our YouTube channel.

The MyRichland App is a great way to stay connected, as you can send prayer requests, fill out a connection card, watch videos, listen to sermons, give of your tithes and offerings, and much more.

Also, since the current pandemic began, we have been uploading regular video devotions, testimonies, and updates to our YouTube channel a few times each week. Here is the playlist of all our videos added since March…

As always, if you have any questions, concerns, and/or prayer requests, please let us know. Hope to see you Sunday morning at 10:40 for our outdoor worship celebration!
