You do not want to miss this coming Sunday evening (August 7th). After a 5:00 carry-in supper, we’ll be watching the movie Woodlawn together in our fellowship hall. Woodlawn is a film based on the inspiring and undeniable true story about love and unity in a school torn apart by racism and hate in the 1970s. You can watch the preview below.

Everyone is invited to join us for this time of food, fellowship and fun, so please spread the word. If you have any questions or want more information, please contact us.

Last week was another tremendous week of Vacation Bible School with Richland Baptist Church! If you missed our VBS Program and Family Celebration on Sunday, below you can watch the videos of the kids performing their songs. A huge thanks to all who served the children of our church family and community, as well as to all the parents who allowed their children to join us for Submerged!

Please mark your calendars for Vacation Bible School – July 24-28 (5-8 p.m.). We’ll be taking the kids on an adventure like no other, deep within the mysterious sea. As kids submerge themselves in God’s Word, they will discover that Jesus didn’t just see what’s on the outside of people. He looked deep down on the inside. We hope your kids will join us and that you will consider volunteering.

Supper (for all interested kids and volunteers) will be served each evening (Sunday through Thursday) at 5:00 with the VBS program beginning at 5:30. We will be done right at 8:00 each night, and we’ll finish off the week with a big VBS family celebration (10:40 a.m.) and lunch on Sunday, July 31.

For more information, please contact us. Check out the below video to learn more about this year’s theme.

Richland family, here is your reminder to give us your pictures that you are okay with us uploading. Thanks for those of you who have taken and given us many photos, so that we can share and remember these great moments of fellowship, encouragement and ministry.

While they weren't all here, we did recognize and pray for our graduates last month.

Church Work Day

30 May 2016
0

This Saturday (June 4th) is our annual church work day. There is a lot of work that needs to be done, both inside and outside the church building. Whether you are a heavy lifter, a detailed cleaner, a good painter, a landscaping guru, a carpentry wizard, a helpful organizer, or a wise supervisor, we need your help. We have plenty of work for everyone who is willing to serve.

Beginning at 8 a.m., we will be working all morning and even some in the afternoon for those who are able and willing. Even if you can only help for a short time, please plan on joining us. If you have any questions or want more information, please contact us.

For those who are here and helping, lunch will be available and served around noon. Thank you to the amazing church family members who continue to serve Christ by serving others inside and outside our church!

Child Sponsorship Testimony

08 May 2016
2

Today is Hope Sunday, as we are encouraging you to pray about and consider sponsoring a child through World Vision.

To help us understand what an incredible blessing child sponsorship is, Kasey Gatson shared a short testimony this morning about her experience in sponsoring a child. Please click HERE to listen to the testimony.

You can sponsor a child for just $39 a month, and World Vision will combine your compassionate gift with the grit and determination of people in need. You’ll join with other sponsors and donors to help your children and community address the root causes of poverty. When you sponsor a child, you’ll help bring access to resources like:

– Clean, safe water
– Food and healthcare
– Education
– Community development
– Child protection

To sponsor a child is to give that child a future. Sponsoring a child allows you to create a relationship with a child in need, and Christian organizations like World Vision believe it’s the most powerful way to fight poverty. When you sponsor a child, you communicate life-changing love and encouragement through letters, photos, packages, and even visits!

World Vision’s child sponsorship program works alongside children, families, and communities to build sustainable solutions that release them from long-term poverty. Sponsoring a child allows World Vision to plan ahead, which means your sponsored child can dream about a brighter tomorrow.

For more information on child sponsorship, please contact World Vision.
