A new class for joining Richland Baptist Church (or just learning more about Jesus and the church) will begin Sunday, April 16, at 9:30 a.m.

Membership Matters is our membership orientation class for learning about the church and why church membership is so important. This class is what we require for one to be baptized and/or to join the church.

Taking place during our family groups (aka Sunday School) hour, this class will last for six weeks (as often as scheduled and needed), after which time we hope you will plug into one of our weekly family groups.

The topics covered in this 6-week class are:

April 16 – Session 1: What do we believe?

April 23 – Session 2: What is our church covenant?

April 30 – Session 3: Why join a church?

May 7 – Session 4: What is the history of the church?

May 14 – Session 5: What does it mean to live on mission?

May 21 – Session 6: How can we do life together?

This class is great for anyone who wants to learn more about Richland Baptist Church, what we believe, how to get involved, etc. Whether you are considering membership or not, you are welcome to join us.

Nursery and children’s family groups are provided for children of all ages.

If you have any questions and/or want more information, please contact us. For our regular weekly schedule, please click HERE.

New Sermon Series – “The Creed: What We Believe”

02 Apr 2023
0

Please make plans to join us for a new sermon series called The Creed: What We Believe, beginning Sunday, April 9 during our morning worship celebration at 10:40.

This nine-week series examines the historic Apostles’ Creed. The Apostles’ Creed is an ecumenical creed, with Christians from nearly every branch of the faith agreeing with its contents. But it is more than a historic document; it is an accurate representation of our faith. In many ways, this is Christianity 101. “The Creed” will not only empower us to know what we believe, but also offer confidence by detailing the foundations for that belief.

Here is the planned schedule for the nine weeks of this series.

Sunday, April 9 – “The Creed Comes from the Bible” (Jude 3; 2 Timothy 3:10-17; Proverbs 22:6)

Sunday, April 16 – “God Created Everything from Nothing” (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1-18)

Sunday, April 23 – “Jesus Is the Foundation” (Luke 6:46-49)

Sunday, May 7 – “Jesus Died for Our Sins” (Hebrews 10:1-12)

Sunday, May 14 – “Jesus Lives” (Luke 24:1-12)

Sunday, May 21 – “Jesus Is at God’s Right Hand” (Luke 24:44-53)

Sunday, May 28 – “God is Triune” (Romans 8:31-35)

Sunday, June 4 – “The Church Is a Gift & a Necessity” (Hebrews 10:19-25)

Sunday, June 11 – “Christians Are Forgiven and Live Forever” (1 Corinthians 15:42-57)

As always, you are invited to join us not only for our morning worship celebration but for all of our services and activities. If you have any questions or prayer requests, please let us know.

Our passion is the gospel. Our church is our family. Our world is our mission. Gospel. Family. Mission. – What we are all about as the Richland Baptist Church family.

Next Sunday, January 15, Pastor Nick will begin a new sermon series through the book of Acts. What better place to consider who we are as a church and what we are called to do?! The themes of gospel, family, and mission run throughout Luke’s record of the early church. Will you join us as we study this book together over the next several months?

We will take a break in April – May for a sermon series on what we believe and then jump back into the book of Acts after that.

So, please make plans to join us for this new sermon series during our Sunday morning worship celebration at 10:40. For a lineup of the rest of our regular services and activities, please click HERE.

As always, if you have any questions, needs, and/or prayer requests, please let us know.

The below video is an example of why we give to and support the IMB…

As always, you can give to the IMB through our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering by giving in person on Sunday morning, sending your gift to the church office, or giving securely online. Thank you!
