Come and worship with us through song, prayer, giving, and the preaching of God’s Word.

Pastor Scot will be preaching on the “Measure of Maturity” (Ephesians 4:11-16).

If you are unable to join us in person, you can watch online via our Facebook page. Of course, we do not consider viewing online to be a replacement for gathering with the body of Christ for worship and fellowship, but we understand that some people are simply unable to gather in person due to sickness, travel, or other circumstances. Thus, we are making these options available to serve those individuals.

Here is the rundown of our schedule for this week…

SATURDAY, AUGUST 12

8:00 – 9:00 a.m. = Men’s and Women’s Fellowships
–The women and men each have separate fellowship gatherings on Saturday mornings from 8-9. You are welcome to come and go as you are able. The women meet in the fellowship hall, and the men meet in the prayer chapel (Carson’s Family Group’s room). Invite others and join us for free coffee (or tea and/or lemonade) and snacks.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 13

9:00 a.m. = Prayer Gathering
–Our weekly prayer gathering is a time to pray specifically for our church, our community, our country, and the advancement of the gospel to the world. Everyone is invited to join us, and we do not have other activities during this 15-minute time of prayer, including nursery or children’s activities, as we want all ages to join us and see the value, importance, and power of intentional corporate prayer.

9:30 a.m. = Family Groups (aka Sunday School)
–Family groups are Bible study fellowships for all ages – children, youth and adults. Nursery is included for infants and toddlers, too. We consider family groups to be an essential ministry for discipleship and relationships.

10:40 a.m. = Morning Worship Service (and live on Facebook)
–Morning worship is an essential time of growing in God’s Word together. It’s that time of the week when most of our church family is all together for the purpose of worshiping our Lord and building up His body. For those who are interested, we also provide nursery (toddlers and infants) and children’s ministry (kindergarten and below) during our morning worship services.

12:00 p.m. = Trustees & Finance Team Meetings

We will take a break in April – May for a sermon series on what we believe and then jump back into the book of Acts after that.

So, please make plans to join us for this new sermon series during our Sunday morning worship celebration at 10:40. For a lineup of the rest of our regular services and activities, please click HERE.

New Sermon Series through 2 Peter https://www.playground.laredcreative.com/new-sermon-series-through-2-peter/ https://www.playground.laredcreative.com/new-sermon-series-through-2-peter/#respond Mon, 16 Aug 2021 11:30:00 +0000 https://www.playground.laredcreative.com/?p=8826 On Sunday morning, August 22, Lord willing, Pastor Nick will begin a new sermon series on why and how we can “Grow in Grace.” Preaching through 2 Peter, Nick hopes to challenge and encourage you to be diligent in recognizing false teachers and false doctrine while trusting the Scriptures and recognizing the Truth. By learning to recognize false teachers, followers of Jesus will also be able to identify those who teach truth, and by living into that truth, we can grow in the grace of God and Christian virtue.

Here is the planned schedule of messages for the next four weeks…

Sunday, August 22 – “Grace to Grow” (2 Peter 1:1-15)

Sunday, August 29 – “Grace to Believe” (2 Peter 1:16-21)

Sunday, September 5 – “Grace to Know” (2 Peter 2:1-22)

Sunday, September 12 – “Grace to Endure” (2 Peter 3:1-18)

As always, we hope you will join us on Sunday mornings for family groups (9:30 – 10:30) and for worship (10:40 – 11:45). If you have any questions, please let us know.

New Sermon Series https://www.playground.laredcreative.com/new-sermon-series-3/ https://www.playground.laredcreative.com/new-sermon-series-3/#respond Mon, 13 Apr 2020 12:00:00 +0000 http://www.playground.laredcreative.com/?p=8049 Beginning Sunday morning, Pastor Nick will start a new sermon series on remembering the work of the cross. Taking a look at Romans 12-13, Nick will challenge you to consider the gospel’s application to our daily lives (as individuals and as a church family). Paul begins Romans 12 declaring our need to be a united, living sacrifice, applying the impartial, amazing gospel of Jesus Christ explained in Romans 1-11.

The gospel transforms lives, and so we must live in light of this truth every day.

Lord willing, this is Nick’s schedule for the messages in this series:

April 19 – “Living Sacrifice” (Romans 12:1-2)

April 26 – “Living Ethics” (Romans 12:9-14)

May 3 – “Living Unity” (Romans 12:15-16)

May 10 – “Living Good” (Romans 12:17-21)

May 17 – “Living Difference” (Romans 13)

If you have any questions, needs, and/or prayer concerns, please contact us. In the meantime, you can keep up with our daily videos of engagement and encouragement in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic by going to our YouTube channel. Hope to see you online Sunday morning!

“From Death to Life” https://www.playground.laredcreative.com/from-death-to-life/ https://www.playground.laredcreative.com/from-death-to-life/#comments Wed, 08 Apr 2020 18:45:36 +0000 http://www.playground.laredcreative.com/?p=8037 Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions and our desire to do our part to prevent the further spread of the virus, we will be meeting online again Sunday morning at 11. While we had hoped to host a drive-in worship service where people could remain in their vehicles, we do not yet have the technology to do such a service well. Perhaps we will in the near future, if/while the current health directives continue.

During our Sunday morning online service, Parker Smiley will lead us in a couple of songs of worship to celebrate our Risen Savior, and Pastor Nick will be preaching on the great reality of our journey “From Death to Life” (1 Peter 1:1-9). What a timely reminder in the midst of this pandemic, that we have everlasting hope when we experience everlasting life through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord!

To join us Sunday morning at 11, you can visit us on YouTube or on Facebook.

Here is Nick’s video preview…

If you have any questions about Sunday morning, would like to join an online Family Group (aka Sunday School) meeting, or have any prayer requests, please let us know. Hope to see you online Sunday morning!

He challenges everyone to do so in order to get more out of the sermon and be more faithful to God’s Word. Below is the video of Nate’s 90-second challenge.
